Just one year ago, a popular Bawtry art gallery relocated to stunning 400 sq metre premises with over 50 loyal customers forming a human chain to move the works of art from the old gallery to the new one across a busy main road.
Since then, Limited 2 Art, which has been established in the heart of the affluent market town of Bawtry near Doncaster for over 12 years, has had an amazing year attracting visitors from all over the UK and to celebrate the gallery is hosting its first anniversary party on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 July.
“What a year it has been and one which has surpassed my wildest expectations and it felt only appropriate to celebrate this success,” said gallery owner Ruth Worsman “One thing for sure is that the fizz will be flowing and everyone is welcome to come along to the gallery, view our collections as well as our now legendary ‘Stairs of Fame’”.
Local caricaturist, Mick Hollinworth, will be attending each day between 12 noon and 3pm to do free caricatures whilst accepting donations for local cancer charity Firefly. Furthermore we are delighted to welcome Nottingham’s British Landscape artist Darren Stevenson, who will be hosting a live painting demonstration between 12 noon and 4pm on Saturday”.
Established in 2004, Limited 2 Art has gone from strength to strength and has become one of the largest fine art galleries in the North of England since moving to its new premises, the former Bawtry Old Town Hall. Amongst the visiting artists to the gallery over the past 12 months Ruth and her team have welcomed ‘Best Selling UK Artist’ Kerry Darlington, US Artist to the Stars, Todd White plus local artists Danny Abrahams, Edward Waite and David Smith all of which have produced original artworks to create the galleries own ‘Stairs of Fame.’
“Buying art is such a personal experience and everybody has differing ideas on what they like and what they want to look at every day in their home, workplace or business,” said Ruth. “We are here to bring the very best of contemporary art to people and provide a setting where customers can peruse at their leisure, enjoy a coffee with us and appreciate the wealth of talent that is exhibited in the gallery.”
Visitors to the anniversary event will receive a complimentary raffle ticket to win a £50 Limited 2 Art gift voucher of which the winner will be drawn at 4pm each day.
Limited 2 Art use a number of different publishers and are proud to exhibit an amazing collection of fine art from over 80 artists, both nationally & internationally.
