Cyber Essentials Exclusive offer for accredited Chamber members

The British Chambers of Commerce has negotiated an exclusive discount for the business network, including Doncaster Chamber, on the Cyber Essentials scheme – saving £25 on the assessment and certification fee of the Cyber Essentials accreditation.

The Cyber Essentials scheme was developed by the UK Government in partnership with the Information Assurance for Small and Medium Enterprises (IASME) consortium, the Information Security Forum (ISF) and the British Standards Institution (BSI) to try to address concerns that SME’s are not protected against cyber attacks. It is essentially a cyber MOT for SMEs to ensure that their business is putting into place basic measures to better protect themselves against cyber attacks and to mitigate the damage caused by such an attack. Over 5000 organisations around the world have now been certified to the Cyber Essentials standard.

Furthermore, HM Government has now made it mandatory for all organisations bidding on contracts through the Public Procurement Network to have the Cyber Essentials certification.
