This event is for any UK businesses, especially SMEs, looking to do business either in, or with, India, wanting to understand the complexities of the market.

10:15am: Overview of the Indian economy and market opportunity: A macro overview of the Indian economy, including the key UK-India trade and investment relationships. The session will also give an overview of how to do market research in your industry in India, and the pitfalls to be wary of.

11:30am: Getting to know India: Group exercises
11:45am: How do you set up a business in India? An A-to-Z guide of what you will need, how long it will take and where you can get the advice.
1:30pm: Taxes in India: A focus on how to export to and import from India, as well as a look into relevant taxes when setting up in India. This session will cover GST, import tariffs, the UK-India double-taxation treaty, and relevant related taxes.
