Join fellow business members for this Roundtable discussion on ‘mental health / wellbeing in the workplace’ with Dr. Rupert Suckling, DMBC.
Mental health is the biggest single cause of sickness absence, and in most workplaces is about 1/3 of all absences, as well as a significant cause of Employment Tribunals and workplace disputes. Yet it is mostly avoidable or remediable at an early stage.
Rupert and his team are interested in supporting employers to maintain or develop positive psychosocial workplaces, through raising awareness, identifying and managing risks, supporting people to stay or return to work and equipping managers to support individuals develop self-care plans.
They will use business feedback to inform their strategies, programmes and policies that address wellbeing in the workplace.
Rupert will open the discussion with a short introduction about the impact of mental health/wellbeing in the workplace, the work his team is already doing and open up with the question of what else needs to be done.
He is looking to have constructive conversations, business engagement, ideas, and energy to work with him and his team to make it happen.
Please arrive just before 8.00am to help yourself to a light breakfast and be ready to start the discussion at 8:00am.
