What's stopping businesses from adopting new technologies?
How important is digital transformation for firms to meet their current challenges and continue to grow?
Is your business using new technologies to increase growth, boost productivity, reduce spend, trade differently? Artificial Intelligence, virtual reality, drones, automation are just some of the technologies businesses are implementing to make them more efficient.
Are the tools that supported you when starting-up now hindering your business's ability to grow?
Is your business already using digital to work in new ways? Is there a changing skills need to meet these requirements? Are Doncaster businesses leading, following or not yet needing/ready for new technologies?
Professor Rab Scott, Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre with Boeing, University of Sheffield, is keen to meet with Doncaster businesses to find out if they are or aren't adopting new technologies and if not, why not.
He works closely with government policy makers to ensure the right support is available to businesses to grow. He will discuss some of the strategies and funding opportunities being provided to businesses to encourage them to adopt new technologies that can help them to grow. Join us for this interesting discussion to hear about Doncaster's aspirations to lead in technology and how your business can be a part of it.
Rab will use your feedback to inform government about your business needs and how they need to support them.
We hope you will join us for this informal roundtable discussion. Please arrive from 7.45am for tea/coffee and pastries and be ready to start the discussion at 8.00am.
