About Citizens Advice
Citizens Advice Doncaster Borough (CADB) provides impartial, confidential advice to help individuals facing a diverse range of challenges.
Whether over the phone, online or in-person, their team are on hand to help local people with everything from debt management to welfare right, housing, employment, immigration and family matters. In short, their accredited advice empowers individuals to make informed decisions and regain control of their lives.
With 33 community locations (including GP surgeries, food banks, and libraries) there are readily accessible to anyone in need. They also combat digital exclusion through skills courses and device banks. And, as part of the Doncaster Advice Network, collaborate with partners to strengthen communities and build a brighter, more equitable future.
How They Work With Business
Based in Doncaster, CADB addresses the needs of those impacted by poverty and marginalisation. Last year alone, they managed to assist over 9,658 clients, tackled 35,000 separate issues and secured over £12.8 million in income gains.
However, their remit also expands to partnering with local businesses in order to make a meaningful impact on our community. Through these connections, often brokered by Doncaster Chamber, they collaborate with others to support shared goals, boost local growth, and drive ambition.
For instance, they partner with businesses to provide essential resources: including winter warmth packs for vulnerable clients and kit for their digital inclusion device bank. They also deliver training sessions that can help educate your employees on key topics like financial resilience, mental well-being, and debt management.
Whether through resource donations, sponsorships, or collaborative projects, working with CADB allows businesses to contribute to a more resilient Doncaster, fostering a brighter, inclusive future for all.
